Jesus forgives "Jesus all about Life" banner thiefs!!

Thats right, our "Jesus all about Life" banner has been stolen! If you are not yet aware of the Jesus all about Life campaign, it is a media campaign running across Sydney, designed at raising awareness of Jesus and what He can offer people.

The good news for those who took the banner is that they are forgiven, Jesus has died for their sins (including this one), but we would encourage them to seek reconciliation with Jesus over this matter (and any others)!

If they would like to return the banner it would be greatly appreciated. If it is not returned in the next few days we will have to head up the road to the Anglican Church under cover of darkness and nick theirs...so please return it soon!

The Pot of Mystery

Last Sunday we ate our church lunch together. The smell of curry filled the hall. We waited patiently, salivating as the aromas wafted around the room. Ken was nervous, hanging back as people filled their plates and shuffled off to find a seat and sample the food that had been offered. Would people enjoy what had been prepared? Would they be repulsed, but pretend it was nice (church people can be very polite).

Lunch was great! Thanks Ken for preparing it for us! (I am not being polite, it really was great)

Thanksgiving Day

This Sunday (4th Oct) is going to be a big day for me!

I will have to get up an hour earlier than usual due to daylight saving. This should not be too difficult as I have been waking up an hour earlier than usual because of the sunlight streaming through our bedroom window! Also, this Sunday we are having our church lunch. Ken is cooking up some mystery pot of mystery!

As well as these two things Sunday is also our yearly "Thanksgiving Day". Thanksgiving Day is about remembering what God has done for us as individuals, as a local church, as a wider church and for all of creation!

God has indeed been good to us in sending his Son as a gift, even though we have not treated God as we should have. We are also very grateful for all that he has given us at RPC. We have great facilities, great people, great conversations, great food and great news!

I'm Back...again.

The Blog Conference took up a lot of time so things here at the website were a bit neglected. The Conference went well and is worth a read if you are interested in the subject of women in ministry. Follow the link!

This Sunday (20th Sept) we have our first officially family Small Church afternoon. We will be hanging around after church to have a light lunch and a chat while the kids run wild!

The following Saturday (26th of Sept) is our second Family BBQ and Movie Night for the term. Last time we had about 8 families come along and share some tea, a dvd and chocolate with some great coffee!

For more info, contact us through the website!

Blog Conference starts!!!

Yep, that is a three exclamation mark heading.

Our Blog Conference concerning women in ministry starts today and runs over the next two weeks. We have a panel of representatives from both sides who are going to present a number of different posts on the issue. These posts cover everything from eldership, to Biblical texts, to legalism and submission. At points the discussion might get a bit heavy, but we hope that anyone interested in the topic would be able to join in the discussion.

Check it out!!!!
